What the client asked for:
Marie and Jim’s vacation is still in planning mode, but we’re well on our way. They wanted to be able to do their first Mediterranean cruise. They’re both very seasoned travelers but most of their travel has taken them to Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and a tremendous number of trips within North America. They wanted to see as much of Italy as possible since Jim is a history buff but Marie also dearly wanted to get to the popular and very appealing Amalfi Coast.
What we booked for them:
They are both retired and tend to be very conscious of their expenditures as a result which is why we chose Oceania since they are a very luxurious option for ocean traveling, but also have wonderful choices with their O’Life program so that you only pay for what you want to partake including beverages, excursions, and the like. We’re working on getting them a wonderful side trip to both the Amalfi coast and some in-depth time and touring in Rome.

We are working with Mills-Roy Luxury Travel to put together a vacation for us in May, 2019. The trip consists of two tours, one with Cosmos and the other with Monograms, for a total of 13 days, followed up by a wonderful 10 day cruise aboard Oceania’s Sirena, in Italy and the Greek Isles. Patti has walked us through every step of the booking process for the two tours, providing information on air travel and train travel which will be necessary between the tours. She was also very helpful in helping us to choose what cruise line would best suit our travel wishes. Our recent riverboat cruise in Southern France was a trip of a lifetime. We are so thankful for the wonderful guidance and coordination offered by Patti, at Mills-Roy Luxury Travel. We enjoyed a two-day visit to Paris before departing by train to Lyon where we boarded our cruise for the eight-day adventure. At the end of the cruise, we then went to Nice for an additional three days. Patti’s knowledge and attention to detail made every step of our experience smooth and stress-free. We were provided with a step by step itinerary, which made it extremely easy for these novice travelers to be where we needed to be. Her recommendation for Emerald Waterways could not have been more perfect. The boat, staff, excursions and especially the food and wine far exceeded our expectations.

The European Riverboat Cruise was an anniversary gift that we gave to each other to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. This was mentioned to Patti during our initial conversations and, unbeknownst to us, she made a mental note. What a surprise to return to our room one evening to a bottle of champagne, rose petals on the bed and towel origami swans! Patti had contacted the riverboat staff and made special arrangements for celebrating our anniversary. It was such a sweet gesture, making our trip even more memorable.

The history and flavor of the beautiful French towns and countryside was an experience of a lifetime and we came away with some wonderful memories. We highly recommend Patti at Mills-Roy Luxury Travel and will definitely use her services again when planning our next trip.

On a scale of 1-10, Patti Mills-Roy is a 15! We have used many travel agents over the years, and I can honestly say that Patti is one of the best we have ever worked with. She and her husband have traveled extensively, so she is able to draw on her own past experiences to help us determine the perfect itineraries. She is extremely knowledgeable about the places we want to go, the cruise lines or tour companies we want to use, and the excursions we want to book--because she has personally been there. If she hasn't traveled to that particular location or doesn't know something (which is rare!), she will investigate and dig to find the best answers to our questions.
